is an attorney and a national speaker on Positive Psychology for Lawyers topics. She also specializes in teaching Positive Psychology and Resilience workshops to prevent secondary traumatic stress (also known as compassion fatigue), chronic stress and burnout, anxiety, depression, sleep deprivation, and to increase overall well-being. Additionally she teaches a Train-the-Trainer Program for organizations.
Hallie is a certified (soon to be licensed) Positive Psychology instructor with the Wholebeing Institute - founded by former Harvard professor and NY Times bestselling author Dr. Tal Ben-Shahar, a therapist certified by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, an Integrative Restoration® instructor, and author of Yoga for Lawyers – Mind-Body Techniques to Feel Better All the Time, published by the ABA. She has written several Positive Psychology articles published by the NM Bar and disseminated nationally. She received her B.F.A. degree cum laude, and Phi Kappa Phi honors from the University of New Mexico, and her J.D. cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center where she also received an American Jurisprudence award, was admitted into the Order of the Barons honorary organization, and graduated in the top 12% of her class. She practiced law in NM for 10 years in the following capacities: assistant district attorney for the Second Judicial District, associate attorney in a small civil law firm, and assistant general counsel in government agencies.
